Floor to ceiling glass windows stretch the length of the restaurant, unfolding to reveal the fresh seabreeze and sounds of the crashing waves below. Distinguished by, impeccable service and classic, contemporary décor, salt serves simple, approachable, honest food in an easy-dining atmosphere, complemented by an extensive wine list of 70 wines, all available by the glass. Changed on a regular basis according to seasonal availability of ingredients, the menu places the emphasis on procuring the best produce - from using sustainable fish to ensuring a regular supply of the best beef and the best fruits and vegetables. And while the key is simplicity, dishes all speak of exciting flavour combinations. Gidi’s, the manager, hand-chosen wine list showcases some of the country’s top showstoppers, having all been selected for having garnered no less than three and a half stars in the John Platter guide or a minimum of a silver medal at the prestigious Veritas awards. There is no sommelier - instead Gidi, with her wealth of wine knowledge and experience guides her capable staff on how and what to suggest to clients which wines to match with the food.
